Overview
This qualification is aimed at those who are involved in setting out and erecting masonry structures onsite working from drawings and specifications. It is designed for bricklayers who wish to formalise their skills with a nationally recognised qualification. The qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available and will allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete. A minimum of 73 credits need to be attained, comprising the mandatory units plus optional units from the optional group.

Assessment
Evidence of performance and knowledge is required. Evidence of performance should be demonstrated by activities and outcomes, generated in the workplace. The main source of evidence for each unit will be observation of the candidate's performance and knowledge demonstrated during the completion of the unit.
