A qualification aimed at recognising the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in steelfixing in the construction industry.
Overview
The aim of this qualification is to recognise the knowledge, skills and competence of individuals who specialise in steelfixing in the construction industry. Candidates will be required to prove they have the skills and knowledge to carry out cutting, bending, fixing and prefabricating reinforcement steel. The qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available and will allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete. This qualification is at Level 2, although some units may be at different levels.

Assessment
Evidence of performance and knowledge is required. Evidence of performance should be demonstrated by activities and outcomes, generated in the workplace. The main source of evidence for each unit will be observation of the candidate's performance and knowledge demonstrated during the completion of the unit.
