A work-based qualification enabling learners to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding and demonstrate competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of a bricklayer.
Overview
This qualification has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment which means the learner must be employed to undertake this qualification. This qualification enables the learner to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrating their competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of a bricklayer. It is not expected that candidates working in this industry all do the same activities, so the qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available. The qualification is structured to allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete. To provide this opportunity in addition to the mandatory units, candidates will also be able to select optional units recognising specific skills.
