NVQ Diploma in Cladding Occupations (Construction)

This qualification is aimed at those who are involved in installing Rainscreen wall cladding systems and/or roof sheeting and cladding systems. It is designed for experienced cladding operatives who wish to formalise their skills with a nationally recognised qualification. The qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available and will allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete. In addition to mandatory units, candidates will be able to select optional units recognising specific skills.

• Install Rainscreen wall cladding systems
• Install roof sheeting and cladding systems
• Prepare resources required for cladding installation
• Work from drawings and specifications
• Apply Health, Safety and Welfare standards in the workplace
• Use and maintain cladding installation equipment effectively
• Select optional units to match specific workplace skills

Evidence of performance and knowledge is required. Evidence of performance should be demonstrated by activities and outcomes, generated in the workplace. The main source of evidence for each unit will be observation of the candidate's performance and knowledge demonstrated during the completion of the unit.
