NVQ Diploma in Decorative Finishing – Painting and Decorating (Construction)

This qualification is aimed at you if you are experienced in preparing surfaces and applying surface coatings by brush and roller and hanging wallcoverings. It is designed for those who are already working in the painting and decorating trade and wish to formalise their skills with a nationally recognised qualification. The qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available and will allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete. In addition to mandatory units, candidates will be able to select optional units recognising specific skills.

• Move, handle and store resources correctly

Evidence of performance and knowledge is required. Evidence of performance should be demonstrated by activities and outcomes, generated in the workplace. The main source of evidence for each unit will be observation of the candidate's performance and knowledge demonstrated during the completion of the unit.
