Overview
This is a work-based learning qualification that enables individuals to work as a tiler in the construction industry. It is not expected that candidates working in this industry all do the same activities, so the qualification is structured to ensure that there is a high degree of flexibility within the units available. The qualification requires individuals to prove competence to fix tiles to vertical, horizontal and inclined surfaces to given working instructions for both wall and floor surfaces. The qualification is structured to allow employees from companies of all sizes and specialisms equal opportunity to complete.
Learning Outcomes
Assessment
Evidence of performance and knowledge is required. Evidence of performance should be demonstrated by activities and outcomes, generated in the workplace. The main source of evidence for each unit will be observation of the candidate's performance and knowledge demonstrated during the completion of the unit.
